Senior Pet Adoption Terms & Conditions

In order to be eligible for reimbursement of up to $200, the adopter must be 18 years or older and online submission must show proof of adoption of a senior dog or cat, aged 5 years or older, between November 1, 2022 and November 30, 2022. Complete submissions must be received by December 31, 2022 for consideration.  [Submissions only valid via online form] Limit (2) senior animals per adopter for reimbursement eligibility. As part of your submission, you must provide the completed Sponsorship Form including proof of adoption and payment of adoption fee from a licensed 501(c)(3) non-profit shelter or rescue organization located in the United States or a shelter or rescue organization that is a registered charity in Canada. To be eligible for reimbursement, the full adoption fee must be evidenced by the receipt.  If you are selected for reimbursement, a check will be paid to the individual identified on the proof of adoption in the exact amount of the adoption fee up to $200 and mailed to the address provided in the Sponsorship Form within 60 days of submission. Stella & Chewy’s is not responsible for sales tax, transport fees, veterinary services, licenses, processing fees, or other costs outside of the adoption fee. All information fields must be fully and accurately completed, and all required documentation must be submitted. Stella & Chewy’s has the sole and complete discretion to determine whether these eligibility criteria are met for this program, and to reject submissions that are incomplete, not timely, do not satisfactorily document the adoption of a pet and the amount paid, or otherwise do not qualify. Stella & Chewy’s will not reimburse further adoption fees once the total amount of reimbursements paid has reached US $100,000 total or 500 pets, even if the deadline for submissions has not yet closed.

You may post or upload content you have created, including without limitation, photographs, your social media handle, videos, and comments (collectively, “User Submissions”) to your social media accounts. By posting and uploading User Submissions that you have tagged with #StellaAndChewys or other Stella & Chewy’s brand hashtags, you grant to Stella & Chewy’s and its third-party service providers who provide content management services (collectively, the “Licensed Parties”) the perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, fully-paid, non-exclusive, transferable right to use your Stella & Chewy’s-tagged User Submissions in any manner to be determined in Stella & Chewy’s sole discretion, including but not limited to on its webpages, social media pages operated by Stella & Chewy’s, and in its other marketing, promotional and advertising initiatives, in any media now or hereafter known.

Stella and Chewy’s may use, display, reproduce, distribute, transmit, create derivative works from, combine with other materials, alter and/or edit your User Submissions in any manner in its sole discretion, with no obligation to you whatsoever. You grant the Licensed Parties the right to use your username, real name, image, likeness, caption, location or other identifying information in connection with any use of your User Submissions. You hereby represent and warrant that (i) you own all rights in and to your User Submissions, (ii) you have permission from all person(s) appearing in your User Submissions to grant the rights granted herein; (iii) you are not a minor, and no person(s) appearing in the User Submissions are minors, and (iv) the Licensed Parties’ use of your User Submissions as described herein will not violate the rights of any third party or any law.

Adopters who meet all requirements will be mailed a voucher in addition to the reimbursement check. Adopters will receive one, $40 in local currency voucher redeemable on all Stella & Chewy’s Dog & Cat Food Products except for treats products. Vouchers will be valid through March 31, 2023 at participating neighborhood pet stores selling Stella & Chewy’s products and must be redeemed in-store. A list of participating pet stores can be found on the Stella & Chewy’s website. Vouchers will not cover the cost of sales tax and Stella & Chewy’s has no obligation for payment of any tax in conjunction with the distribution or use of any coupon or voucher.  Stella & Chewy’s reserves the right to modify or cancel vouchers at any time.

No purchase from Stella & Chewy’s is necessary to participate in this promotion. Note that this offer is not available to residents of the Province of Quebec.

Notice to California Residents of Financial Incentive

This reimbursement offer may be considered a “financial incentive”. When you submit the Senior Pet Adoption Form, we collect the following from you: (i) identifiers such as your name and email address; (ii) geolocation data such as your mailing address; and (iii) commercial information such as the information you provide about your purchasing habits.  The value of the information you provide when submitting the pet adoption form is the value of the adoption fee amount eligible for reimbursement and any related vouchers. If you submit the Senior Pet Adoption Form and decide you do not want to be considered for reimbursement, please contact us at removeme@stellaandchewys.com prior to the time the reimbursement is issued.
